Does Prolotherapy Work?

There have been numerous studies demonstrating the effectiveness of prolotherapy. In a double blind trial study by the Sansun Medical Clinic of Santa Barbara in 1986, 81 patients reported more than a 50% improvement in their pain over a six month trial. A year later, they reported that their improvement was the same. Numerous studies exist and can be found in medical journals.

What Are The Side Effects?

Some people may have temporary swelling and tenderness to the injection site. There is no permanent harm that can be caused by prolotherapy.
